Limited Quantity label

13/07/2011

In January 2011 the industry was advised that the new ADR regulations will be mandated on the 1st July 2011. One specific change was the new label for ‘dangerous goods in limited quantities’ (6131/A/30) in the 2009 version would be replaced by an updated version, 6132/A/30.

The label is mandatory on transport units with a maximum mass exceeding 12 tonnes, carrying packages with dangerous goods in limited quantities. It shall be placed front and rear of the vehicle and the minimum dimension shall be 250x250mm for vehicles and 100x100mm for packages. For vehicles unloading, it shall be removed.

Therefore part number 6131/A/30 (black LTD QTY letters on a white background) is no longer compliant with ADR 2011. As from the 1st of July the new label for ‘dangerous goods in limited quantities’ has the part number 6132/A/2011.

Labels in dimension 100x100mm, used exclusively for packages will be available shortly.
